Mamamoo Starry Night poised to drop out already? Sigh, quantity over quality. ?. I remember when I am the Best was in the top 10. Wish more variety female groups stayed high in list.

I am very sad about the state of Blackpink. They are doing great on the charts and all which is good for them, but their talent is stifled. They are not showing what they can do anymore. I don’t feel like they are allowed to be artists anymore. This NOT hate on Blackpink by any means! If anything it IS hate on YG for sticking them in this dumb cycle. Their last four songs (counting Solo) are retreads of the same formula. It is getting really old already. I like artists like Big Bang, EXO, Mamamoo, I.U., BTS, that don’t stick to a formulaic sound. They are continuously coming up with a new sound for themselves with nearly every release. For a perfect example, watch BTS 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10. No two songs sound the same. Blackpink used to be like that. With Whisper, Playing with Fire, Stay, As If It’s Your Last, Boombayah, even DDU-DDU since it was the start of the trend, but ever since then it is getting tired.

So disappointed with How You Like That. It is a fine song on its own. I am glad it is at least popular for them, except it will encourage YG to keep them on retreads. Doesn’t he know that they are so popular that they could be allowed to be diverse, be allowed to be artists, and they would still break records for him? Momoland is in the same boat. I liked Bboom Bboom, and then actually like BAAM better (even though it was the same formula), then we got I’m So Hot, and now Thumb’s Up with the same formula over and over.

I think Blackpink is a lot more talented than Momoland, but they don’t really get to show it. Oh well, my kid’s favorites are Momoland and Blackpink so I get to hear them a lot! 🙂

I can’t believe HYLT already got in top 30! Who else is a proud blink?? 😀
