It’s better to be honest from the beginning than to be publicly shamed later….

Actually consumer's right is a big thing and we actually have laws for that. However not many people know that.

Why is this even news? It’s YouTube. Do you know how many kpop stars ALREADY do this? Get over it.

I never trust what influencers/celebs push anyway, but a lot of people do. And acting like they spent their own money on these items (the implication being that they were giving their personal monetarily-unbiased opinion) is really, really disingenuous. I follow just one k-beauty channel and I did notice they always mention in the title when they have sponsorships when not all channels do (some hide it in their video description). These people don't realize fans want to support their faves and usually cheer on their sponsorship deals. They just come across as untrustworthy now.

I wonder if Ddotty will still appear in Boss In The Mirror especially after the backlash he received, he’s been flooded with hate comments.

I thankfully follow korean YouTube’s who state a brand sponsor every time they have one … in fact I don’t know who these people are … you can spot fake advertising right now … since in Italy and Europe it’s illegal not to state that … so I feel I can spot right a fake review right now …

I love how Korean take it serious over paid promote and brand ambassador stuff. It increase market trust. In my country, being a brand ambassador didn't mean they use the product in daily basis. That's why people give more attention to a reviewer or influencer. Some of them not being honest tho, but I don't give a shit to any of them.

I don’t understand why people make a big deal at this. Just like you and me, that’s their job and they can have many ay to generate cash flow.

Not a fan of cancel culture and this is an issue that can be corrected and must be left to viewers' discretion if they want to keep supporting the content creators or not. They did wrong by not stating that they're doing paid promotion so viewers must really felt fooled or misled. An apology, correction and a different approach couldve been the better choice. If they lose viewers in the process because of distrust, that's for every viewer to decide. Cancelling people can really be too much. Unfortunate for companies to also ask for the influencers to make it seem natural and not imply that they are paid promotions.

Please tell me why professionals, like the amazing and famous stylist,do not hire lawyers,BEFORE they get into doing youtube videos?? Lawyers in the U.S. charge so little to aid in preventing problems compared to the high cost of FIXING social image problems as after-the-fact.Does Korea have a shortage of lawyers? Influencers, who are making their income by social media posts, should,at the very least, consult with an attorney.

These youtubers should have known better to release any hidden promotions. If the company told them to keep it a big hush then obviously they know what they’re doing.

Ngl I don't think its a big deal …personally I wouldn't cancel my faves over this. Plus I know tzuyang did charity events before but its like everyone decided to ignore how some YouTubers have helped other people
