I love that snare and your tone on this, but I would have used a softer and fatter snare tone to fit that backing track (that snare is too brutal for it right now 🙂 )… Without going as far as changing your usual tuning or using a different snare, maybe trying to put a towel on it or something would have done the trick.
I think this was awesome drumming here and that snare sounds sweet!! Actually the whole kit sounded great though!! I like what you wrote that this helped you be a bit more creative in your metal drumming!!
