The 90s were a surprisingly good decade. At least compared to the 80s and the aughts.

From this it appears that with a few notable exceptions pop music has always sucked.

So much wrong with this. No song or artist names, no Michael Jackson, music segments about 3 secs too short etc etc.

I feel like I now know more about my past life cause of this. 1st of all, I remember that I was either born on the year 1899 OR I remember music from that century. I love these songs so far. Keep on playing it makes me feel a way.

There are so much songs still popular in 2020 like 1:46, so dont worry about 2090, they're still listen to Bad Romance, Despacito, 7 Rings…

I would not use the word "evolution." That implies a continuous progression. Much (most?) of what we have seen since the early 90s is not only a regression, it's not even music anymore. It's entertainment. The Billboard Charts should change their name from music charts to entertainment charts. Blackpink, for example, is purely entertainment. 90% of the comments on their vids do not even mention any musical aspect of them at all.
