I see they gave her this Vega microphone to use, but you have to compress it / normalize it to hear it properly. If anyone has ever heard the unplugged raw audio, it doesn't really capture her voice properly when it' not near her mouth

I love this song very much from the Emotions album. The album is filled with so much iconic ballads.
Mariah and Celine should do a duet.
Her nose was so different here. You can see the round insides of her nostrils when she lifts or tilts her head unlike today where it looks trimmer. I guess it did affect her singing more than the vocal nodules her fans used when she dodges the high notes (or when she has a terrible performance) from 1997 onwards.
My third favorite Mariah record, period. This is a nice performance. Her best performance of this song is on Soul Train. I don't like how she did the whistle at the end. 'Twas high, but she took it lower.
