Chuck Berry did it better
I wish the camera would’ve spent more time on Brian, Carl, Al & Dennis & less on Mike Love and the audience.
i put a condom on the tower.
dedicated to him..
Look-up on YouTube: 'Status Quo and The Beach Boys Fun Fun Fun'. For all those that don't know, Status Quo are an English band that never made it big in the USA but are legends in their own country and well known in the rest of the world (Huge in Europe and Australia). In 1996 the two bands got together in a reworking of the BB original hit 'Fun Fun Fun' The bands had met while doing some charity gigs for armed forces from different nations, Status Quo representing The UK and The Beach Boys representing The USA. Let me know what you think of the track.
This music was sooooo much better than now, now it’s just crap…
Fun music aimed at white middle class kids.Underneath was mental illness, dope, and Charles Manson
Mike Love was a goof ….but he's the BEST!!!
too funny…
A song that gets older as the music gets younger.
Ain't that the truth……???……..?……..?
beach boys the only boys?

I remember the days of listening to this while heading for my beach hoilday, set to have Fun, Fun, Fun.
The perfect summer anthem!
Coronavirus and the draconian social distancing rules and isolation means that the Beach Boys can't go to the beach and have Fun, Fun, Fun
Ima southern born and bred Hip/HOP guy, but I have always phucked heavy with the Beach Boys!!
Listening to this in quarantine 2020.?
So good!!
Brian Wilson, so much talent

honestly I'd love to grow up hearing music from the 1950s including music like this in the 1960s and the 1970s

Here's the first hand info on the KNAK connection from her friend Becky:
"Shirley Johnson England is my neighbor and a very close friend. I have heard this story from her firsthand. She did go to the library, however she didn't take the T-Bird straight back to the radio station like she was supposed to. Her dad, Howard Johnson, the owner of KNAK (a very popular radio station with the teenagers and early 20's crowd) did like the Beach Boys very much, so they came to Salt Lake fairly often and he promoted them a lot. Mr. Johnson was also on the staff at the University of Utah, so he had a very desirable parking pass on the T-Bird. I think he was on the faculty, but I can't remember for sure. That's why Shirley had the T-Bird. After she was finished with her classes she would drive to the radio station and give the T-Bird back, then take her car. She was inside the radio station around the time she got grounded from the T-Bird and the Beach Boys overheard her talking about it with someone. They asked her for the whole story. The lyrics to that song were literally written in the backseat of a car on the way to the Salt Lake Airport. I don't know why Mr. Wilson would find anything about that song inappropriate, but I guess I know Shirley and he didn't. I may not have been born yet, but I know that Shirley wasn't "that kind of girl". She loves to play pranks and have fun, but it's all good, clean fun. If it's true that she fell in love with a guy in 1964, then that would be her husband whom she has been married to for over 50 years. She thinks it's hilarious that her grandchildren think she's famous! I tell her that they are right."
PS, the car the Fun Fun Fun was written in was Bill Hesterman's Cadillac convertible.
Oh, that California.
1:26 Brian's future wife giving him the "I see you" signal
My dream is to see the beach boys before they all die
O
I'm a bit tired of hearing everyone knock down Mike Love- He is a good vocal frontman, a decent singer/writer and manages to hold the group together when needed most.
When the Beach Boys would come to Salt Lake City, Utah, they would stay with the family that owned the Ford dealership. So this song is a true accounting of what happened when the teen daughter took the T-Bird out for a little spin! OK, and who here has never done that?
https://youtu.be/MDIBMaCTwFw….better on this live!
JOJO
Damn,they were the band.
Mike love is all right angles.
An American original, true to their school of rock-n-roll, who even the Beatles admired. The innocence of those days is gone. I pine for that America before campus cynicism led to the anti-war movement. Yes, the racial divide and gender discrimination were serious problems but they were finally being addressed during this era. It's the optimistic spirit I miss most.
I like how Mike Love can sing and chew gum at the same time !
? ? ?
Mike Love looks like Eric from Happy Gilmore.
Back in around 1971 i had a friend that drove a 1956 ford, it had an eight track tape player, and he had the Beach Boys greatest hits .We wore that tape out
Wow…first time i m hearing these guys. Got an oldies craze suddenly. They rock….
