Sounds like ELO,many of their songs are parts from other bands material. After the Angels, someone should scroll through THEIR MATERIAL to see all the similar ..
Rick R.I.P. When I was driving my 2.8i Granada Ghia X taxi in North Wales I would put Quo's Rock n Roll on the cassette at full blast and rag that motor through bendy country lanes at speeds that would have given Richard Brunstrom apoplexy 🙂
I know this was posted three years ago but I've just read it. I'm sorry but now cant get it out of my head visualising Frame singing "Bob the Builder" Bloody priceless.
Pretentious crap never-the-less with falsetto backgound vocals and mushy violins in the background. Not that it's a bad melody, but it doesn't reflect the status quo. If Rossii wanted to do this popish garbage, at least he could have had the courtesy to take it solo.
@itsonelouder1 kinda agree with you ,,, at least they can play chords , todays bands only mime , n cant play an instrument,, anyway ,,,, i love Francis he he been to loads a quo concerts fabulous
@jimbo620ti It was original organist Roy Lynes who just walked circa 1971, by 1981 all of the band were experiecing problems to do with hard "rock & roll" living, Parfitt & Rossi were by then both into cocaine big time which they admit alienated them from the non-drugs Coghlan, who had problems of his own with alcohol, & Alan Lancaster who was becoming both musically and (by way of emigrating to Australia) physically estranged. Between this show (17.12.81) and 10.1.82 Coghlan was asked to leave
Esta cancion me da muy buenos recuerdos,ya esta
el resto me lo guardo, un polvo y despues otro, al lado de la playa, y amanecía,no podré olvidarlo nunca jamás, fue bonito,
The funny thing is that Status Quo sing that that the radio plays on CAROLINE and its on the Boring Broadcasting company whose initials stand for BRING BACK CAROLINE
Is it only me but does
"Waitin' all the time to find
radio plays on Caroline"
sound distrublingly similar to
"Trying to make up my mind
Really is too hard to find" by the Rolling Stones?
good on you, friend! there`s a lot of brilliant music out there, great, but"lodfashioned". Don`t let that keep you from going after it,please.Don`t be like that young lady, who, stumbling over a PinkFloyd video on youtube, asked why they were unknown and never made it in the music business.Commenters tore her to pieces,of course-which is pretty unfair, how could she know Floyd when she never was exposed to them?Keep rocking, davidh!
lose the balding hair..lose the waistcoat..lose the fake guitar strumming..lose the stupid spread legs..lose the miming…….otherwise a catchy little tune
First Album I Ever Bought was Just Supposin`.. Live Gigs I`ve seen include Guns n` roses, The Cult, Faith no more, Green Day, The Offspring, and miles more, but The Quo concert last year was amongst the best. Going to see them again in November. Rock-a-doodle doo Pop pickers !!!
My favourite status quo song..always loved this group..no modern crap music can match this..
I was living in England when this was released and I became an instant Quo fan….awesomeness!

Parts of this remind me of 'Sitting On A Fence', the Jagger / Richard song.

RIP Rick Parfitt. Gone way too soon.
Sounds like an ELP song
not up to their usual excellent standard
If an unknown group had produced this they would still be unknown
John Coghlan (Drummer) left Status Quo after this song
Just re-listened to this song for the first time in about 20 years. I'd forgotten how much I like it, and how strong the lyric is.
I know this was posted three years ago but I've just read it. I'm sorry but now cant get it out of my head visualising Frame singing "Bob the Builder" Bloody priceless.
One of Quo's greatest, yet understated! 🙂
And I like the little Casio keyboard bit.
That gave me a bit of a giggle….
My fave Quo track. Thanks for posting.
I like the whistles best in this.
In this time I only used to understand the music, not the lyrics. But, something guessed me It was 'good music'.
LOL!!!
: )

Brilliant group that will always be given a hard time by so called experts who know jack shit about music.

Great record, listen to the lyrics and ask yourself……………should I really be watching Preston North End????

This is the last appearence of the original drummer John Coghlan, he was booted out within days of this Top Of The Pops performance
