Tommy Mottola, her first manager and husband, told her that she could only show the right side of her face because it was the side that looked good. He made her shoot her videos and take pictures with her head turned to show only the right side. He told her this when she was just 19, so it obviously had an effect on her and it’s now ingrained in her to show only the right side. It was just a part of his grooming of her and it still has her mind messed up to this day.
