Uh. Alan Alda?? Hello. No mention of him?? That’s bs.
Alan Alda! He was epic. Just so natural and present. And honestly, I rarely scroll through comments and all of you make excellent points. Gotta love WW fans!
Needed more of John Laroquette carrying a cricket bat as WH Counsel Lionel Tribby…wonder how his character would have dealt with the MS scandal instead of Oliver Platt's character..
Let's not forget Oliver Babish!
Hey!!!! What about John Larroquette?!?!?
Favorite part-time regulars and guests: Tim Matheson, Mark Harmon, Matthew Perry.
Yo Yo Ma rules!
Loved all the guest stars just WOW!! But Mary Louise Parker <3
The late great Brian Dennehy had a few memorable scenes with the late great John Spencer.
Alan Alda.
How’d you miss that arrow?
I always assumed they didn't have more of Emily Procter because Sorkin was having trouble writing so much dialogue in iambic pentameter.
The mouse pointer over Kenny ?
No mention of Karl Malden as the priest, loved that scene with Bartlett in the oval when they meet.
Another guest star who at least deserves an Honorable Mention:
Clark Gregg as Agent Coul… sorry FBI Agent Mike Casper. Brought on to brief the President on a specific situation, eventually had a recurring role. Was very much a proto-Coulson type role for him, before his 12 year recurring stint in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Janeane Garofalo as Louise Thornton, Christopher Lloyd as Lawrence Lesig, Omar Benson as Orlando Kettles(Try rushin' the quarterback, you're not gonna get there), Brian Dennehy played Senator Rafe Framhagen, Stephen Tobolowsky as Dr. Milkman from DARPA
Best show there ever was or ever will be!
John Amos stole every scene he was in. He had the driest, wittiest and funniest lines in the whole series, and he delivered them flawlessly!
Ron Swanson's was very passionate about wolves thus he came up with the wolf migration proposal, but it was rejected by the white house and Ron has hated the government ever since.
They also had Juwon Howard in an episode's opening scene. I think that's the most surprising guest appearance
J.K Simmons in Duck and Cover? (Ik there's others but they've been covered by other comments)
Emily Procter needed to be a regular. This was the most unfortunate decision.
Worst oversights. First, Roger Rees/Lord John Marbruy omitted -as has been said by Kings and Queens…and to roll in Jimmy Smits, who was was a series regular for the better part of two seasons. Hardly a guest star or recurring actor.
