Eminem alone DOES NOT REPRESENT DETROIT'S HIP HOP, not one artist can represent the ENTIRE hip hop sound of a major city. Maybe if your a major rapper from a city populated with less then 100,000 and only has a few rappers. Detroit has HUNDREDS of rappers and many national and international known MCs and rappers. The three pillars that shaped my rap perspective as a kid were Wu-tang, Boot Camp Clik, and Redman. And the fluidity of his rhyme style probably influenced my rapping more than anyone else. I mean, Dare Iz a Darkside was the first CD I owned, and I wore that sucker out. Wasn't as into him after Muddy Waters, but that was mostly because I didn't like the direction of his production. Still think lyric-wise he's just as sharp.

My username might show my bias, but I'm not arguing against this.
