BP Valenzuela, Oh, Flamingo!, Clara Benin, Shirebound and Busking, Coeli, Bullet Dumas and so on… There’re still sooo many talented (yet underrated) original filipino musicians! Though I do think that the industry is getting a bit better at promoting opm. I’ve seen myx! and wishbus invite indie artists and some are getting featured in movies too. I think the biggest help would be appearing on major TV stations. It’s a bummer tho that they prioritise their own “artistas” over real talent. I mean why make them sing if they can’t even sing live or even hold a note? Just let them stick to acting and give the chance to actual singers. Smh.
