As far as what he was to able to accomplish with guitar, I honestly don’t see how Eddie Van Halen isn’t seen as the superior player between the two. I’m not saying Hendrix was a punk, at all, one of the greatest…hands down. But I just feel like maybe it’s guitar playing techniques that only a guitar player would be able to identify in his playing…because I don’t hear it.

Even though Redding didn't get along with Hendrix well, he still tore up that bass. More active and alive than Cox live. However, Billy, being taught by Jimi, knew EXACTLY how to play the cuts like Hendrix wanted them to be played. I believe this was the core of all of Noel's head butting with Hendrix. Both bassists were killer though.
