Legendary performance from a legendary band. They are Rock & Roll Hall of Fame bound due to their importance of the era they were in and most notably their influence on millions of musicians and fans.

Should have been dead 4 years ago from a aneurysm by my heart that tore " DISSECTED" My main artery up my neck and down both legs. Was told I wasn't gonna wake up from emergency open heart but unfortunately I survived at 45 now left with a Mechanical heart valve and had a stroke. Never been the same since and never will be. I'd feel better dead!!!!

The craziest thing about this album is that it would lack its punch without Layne in the state he was. Their crowning achievement i feel, the despair is there because its real….

By far, the most common reason I've been given as to why people don't like AiC, "their music is too depressing". AiC made me realize how many people don't like hearing the truth when it's inconvenient. Thanks for being brutally honest about the human condition when so many others can't even stomach acknowledging it.

I've noticed that some of the old Alice in Chains videos have been upscaled to 1080p. Seeing this in HD is amazing!!! Makes me miss Layne more?

My brother, age 26, died from the side effects of drug and alcohol addiction. The side effect was suicide in this case. He couldn't stop using. He wanted to stop. All the help was there. But he was to depressed to accept it. I am not mad at him for hanging himself. I'm an alcoholic as well, and I'm in active recovery. I'm 96 days clean and sober myself. I'll show my brother's 9 month old daughter (my beautiful niece) how much he loved her through always being there for her. That baby is mine now. She will not grow up without a father figure if I have anything to do about it.

      We chase misprinted lies
We face the path of time
      And yet I fight
      And yet I fight
      This battle all alone
      No one to cry to
      No place to call home
      Ooh
      Ooh
      Ooh
      Ooh
My gift of self is raped
      My privacy is raked
      And yet I find
      And yet I find
      Repeating in my head
If I can't be my own
      I'd feel better dead
      Ooh
      Ooh
      Ooh
      Ooh

Literally just putting this in here so I can sing along. This is and will always be my all time favourite band.

Not sure how to explain it, but this song is like coming home. Whether I'm struggling worse than most days or in the best of moods, this song is always there to lift me up (or bring me down at times). Its a spiritual experience listening to Nutshell

Layne comes out, sits down and belts out a performance most artists would end their night on.

This song can be interpreted in many different ways for me it hit home with addiction, but it could also be about depression or something else. That's what makes a good song, apealing to different people with different problems or successes… RIP lane !!

This comment section is a very good reminder of how many people struggle with drugs and alcohol…. I wish there was something natural that could boost dopamine Levels and serotonin levels as fast and great as drugs.. So I wouldn't have to feel the broken hearts and sadness of so many of you.. some of you that commented are already dead. Some will die soon… Some will shake it and go on to live happy lives.. Remember this.. no matter what mistakes you made, or what people tell you you are worth every beat that your heart does.. I truly deeply love you all….. Continue to be here for one another..

I think that for a lot of these artists that have passed on via suicide (This one died from heroin & cocaine mix called a "Speedball"), the lyrics they wrote were like them bleeding their souls out onto paper and reliving their pain and torment with every word they sung. He is so sick in this video, reduced to a skeleton, it makes me sad. Such a beautiful voice, "the needle and the damage done". I imagine living life like that must be draining, emotionally and even taking a physical toll. Maybe it takes a tortured soul to sing with that much passion… We are blessed to have been able to hear their music, that connects us, and reminds us that everyone hurts and struggles.
