So what? Where is the transformation scene? This ain’t a transformation scene… Joker felt into the acid barrel, and than? What? At least, show the whole of this scene with transformation…Jack felt into, than cut…are we an oracle to guess what happened to him after all? Where is the Joker?

1989: 'We'll create The Joker by having him fall in to chemicals'

2019: 'We'll create The Joker by just letting society do what it does to people'

People underrate just how important Keaton's role was his Batman is stoic, quiet and a maniac just not homicidal Nicholson plays off that as the first great joker.

To think everyone thought Michael Keaton was going to be a terrible Batman. Boy were we wrong!

Pat Hingle was a great Commissioner Gordon don't get me wrong. But I feel as though Gary Oldman did a lot more with the character. I'm looking forward to seeing Jeffrey Wright portrayal of the Commissioner

Still think this movie is unsurpassed, even by the Nolan's trilogy…

I know that one of jokers main origins is him falling into chemicals in a factory but I’ve noticed that a lot of fight scenes happen in a factory in 80s and 90s movies

The way Keaton/Batman moves in this scene is incredible. He isn't very physical, he just sort of glides from place to place, taking out criminals. He definitely gives Batman a supernatural flair that was missing in later films.

I hated every Batman movie up until the Nolan trilogy. They were all so cheesy. Like children's shows, you just couldn't take them seriously.

I enjoyed the gritty realism from Nolan's trilogy and the brutality of Affleck's Batman.

As for the Joker himself, I much prefer the origin story from The Joker with Joaquin Pheonix, rather than a generic crook gets dropped into a random vat of chemicals.

0:56 – how many times the cop says "freeze" and the gangsters don't shoot the cop? "Freeze" only works if the gangsters is outnumbered.

This is probably still the closest to the bulk of the comic source material that any batman film has gotten, I love Tim Burtons aesthetic, gave Gotham a very unique feel, not that it was just another New York or Chicago.
