If Blizz wants to sell transmog for WoW, they should simply bring back the WoW TCG. It worked very well for them and nobody minded it. Sure, TCGs are the original lootboxes and you can't have a negative opinion on lootboxes if you think MTG is worthy of any respect at all. Someone may come up with an excuse but it'll be idiotic. In fact, the way EA pushed microtransactions originally is by making the lootboxes card packs. Because everyone has accepted gambling on cards is okay, they were fine with gambling for cards in FIFA. As long as TCGs are a respectable medium, Blizz can exploit them to sell transmog and mounts without anyone minding. The problem isn't that they sell stuff for real money. It's that you can just buy it, without having to redeem it off a piece of cardboard with a picture in it. Blizz should just make their microtransactions actual gambling and sell it on cardboard. Not digitally. Nobody would mind then. Hell, there's even competitions with TCGs and that's basically nerds agreeing pay2win games are competitive.

about the store mounts and items, i think that they should make it to where you can either buy it for dollars or get it yourself, best compromise in my opinon. and yes that diminish the value of the item whenever you get it through hard work and not $$ but you can have it if you want to without paying out of your wallet
