There's something about that final statement that always gets to me. It's a moment you always see in any heroic story; its Desmond Doss heading back onto hacksaw to save 70 lives. It's that moment when someone decides that they're going to save you, NO MATTER WHAT.
Honestly I don't get the whole not being able to say things that could hint at return from death. Like for example, "I'll fix this the only way I know how; the way that I've learned it best from all my past experiences" or "I'll use this life (or some other word that can be interpreted as such) to figure out how to save her"
Like god damn it, it tears me apart how phrasing, saying and what not can honestly give them some idea of what he is capable of, especially since someone like Beatrice sort of has some ideas of why Subaru knows her and stuff. I still love this anime but god damn it fucks up my heart knowing that he could honestly tell them indirectly.
Edit: Like how heart wrenching would it be for the cast to find out what he meant or that he is/was going to save them, but realize it too late (him dying) and having that thought lingering over him? That they only realize it until after he is gone.
I would like to point out that the universe doesn't reset when Subaru dies so basically Ram and Beatrice just saw Subaru commit suicide for no damn reason
I only just realized but half of the songs with vocals (special EDs, EDs, OPs, OSTs) are done by Myth and Roid. Really hoping they come back for S2 second half, or at least any time in the last two episodes we have for the first half.
The most annoying thing for me about this scene was that I was absolutely speechless afterwards and was in awe but I also realized in retrospect I forgot it afterwards and it never stayed in my head afterwards even though it’s now one of my favourite scenes in the entire show
I am the only one who believes that Rem has suffered more than Subaru it is true that she has a sad past she is killed several times in a horrible way she is sacrificed several times everyone forgets her, she is forced to confess her feelings and then she adores being rejected all she knew was going to happen she helps subaru then to thank her everyone forgets her also Rem guaranteed all alone a season 2 or even a season 3 considering the money that 'she returns to the studio thanks to her great popularity as the character of Re zero, she is by far # 1 # 16 on Myanimelist lvl popularity and favorism and as the waifu of the decade but won't even win a game this season, you saw who suffered the most between Rem or Subaru
Wonder if this will be used is S2………….. probably not but let me dream
