Great tune ..even after all these years it still sounds great.
Octavian played my high school dance in Georgetown which I attended. Went out for a burger after and who shows up Octavian in a blue school bus for an after dance dinner…Octavian! Thanks for providing part of the soundtrack for my youth!
An example of another band who might have been as popular as The Beetles or other British / Canadian / U.S. supergroups…….if only they were promoted and assisted. SF7
98.5 The Jewel in Ottawa play this all the time … good tune by local boys.
Thank for our great Canadian bands .great songs to listen to
Always had that bit of a Saga soundalike. I always remember when both Toronto's CFTR and 1050 CHUM was playing this tune.
Well done! Remarkable sound, far better than any I have previously encountered for this track. No pops, ticks or other surface noise. I would have suspected it's from a CD but I am sure none exists. I always loved this track but was no longer living in Ottawa when it came out. A wonderful, albeit somewhat now forgotten, piece of Canadian music history. Many thanks.
What a great, great song….and it's Canadian. Really puts you in a great mood. I remember this back in my early high school days. Along with Good Times And Lovin' You, Make Me Do Anything You Want, Some Sing Some Dance. Man, we had some great Canadian content in the early 70s! Thank you Octavian
any videos with Barry Hough?
Thanks for all of the kind words folks! https://www.facebook.com/OctavianRockBand/
They had three LP's. Great people and talented writers and players. Having a few more breaks, they could have gone a lot further.
Does anybody know if the band made any CDs when they were still together,or if anyone has a cd if they want to sell it?im turnin 60 this year and I remember listening to this great band in the 70s,these guys deserve more credit for what they contributed to the Canadian. music I love there songs and would appreciate any contact information for the band, there live song from 2012 these guys sound better than ever!!!!!a great Canadian rock band from the 70s!!!

Ottawa valley…1975
Just heard this gem on the radio. I was all of 9 when it came out.
Ray Lessard is a great guy good family man and a great bass player. Miss you buddy oh you he's also a great financial advisor if you need any investment advice.
this song IS a good feeling to know 🙂
This song makes me feel good.
Oh man I was in grade 5 and the singer was a substitute teacher when they broke on the radio and I remember he taught our class for a day. I haven't heard these songs since then but I know them note for note. Thank you for posting them Mark.
I'm really proud that a Canadian band put out such a positive feel good track like this! Thanks for posting. John in Calgary
I remember these guys playing at my high school back in Ottawa in the mid '70's. It was cool to hear a local band on the radio.
Not a problem at all Warren! Again i am very sorry! I did delete my post to Leah King right away, which i hope you notice. I would never want to infringe on copyrights 🙂 Thanks for believing i meant well as i did 🙂 Once again thanks Warren!
I do personally believe that you meant well and I appreciate that you love the music, but I'm only speaking for myself. MCA Records and UMPG as the rightful owners may feel otherwise, so free or not, please do not advertise to the public that you will make mp3 copies available upon request. Thanks.
I am sorry! Not tryin to make anything from it! Just wanted to get other people from all over the world to hear such a great LP! Wish you guy were still recording! Again Sorry for anything i have done wrong 🙂
As a member of Octavian and one of the writers of this tune, I'm pleased that people still love it after all these years. Please be aware though that this recording is the property of MCA Records and the song is owned by UMPG. Please do not infringe on their copyright and distribute digital copies. It's killing the music business and artists who don't get paid can't afford to create new music. It really shouldn't even be posted here. Please support your local artists. Thanks. 🙂
OMG I have been searching fir music from Octavian forever, you just made my night to finally have found it.
Glad That You Liked It! 🙂
iv got a HOOD feelin'
