Yes, Pavement picked on smashing pumpkins in a song in the 90’s and yes it happens sometimes in other genres ,but nowhere near the level it does in hip hop/rap. Why is that exactly? I just don’t like it when newer artists disrespect older artists that most likely influenced them in some way or atleast paved the way for them to progress the genre and take it to new levels. That’s something that I feel should be respected.
I would put Eminem dropping Revival in my top moments of 2017 because though it got mixed reviews, I really liked this album from my favorite artist, and my favorite song Offended is on there
Could you do a breakdown on british hip hop and why our artist found hard to break America. Artists like jehst, Chester p, skinnyman, rodney P, klashnekoff, Skepta , Kano and the mitchell brothers. These are great rappers and don't get the credit they deserve and I've always wondered why. Might be a subject that's interesting to you.
