Oddly enough, Korn (many years ago) did a song about radio edit singles, showcasing the 2:30 length and making it 2:30 long. For those unfamiliar, it's "Ya'll Want A Single", and the accompanying video is great.
Nicky Siano seems like such an awesome fun guy to chill with. I love his energy and humor. What a legend.
I thought it was DJ Kool Herc or Grandmaster Flowers that extended breaks with two tables and and a fader? I've heard them credited, so who's this other guy?

Listening to this video and the original. The recreation here sounds better than the original. Vox mixers are amazing.

Disco forever!
You helped me, finally understand what was going on with 12 inch singles! Thank you!!!!!!
8:10 Wondering when you were going to mention Blue Monday ! Note it wasn’t a disco piece by any stretch, though it obviously would have had trouble existing if the 12” format wasn’t already popular.
Also note that FM radio took full advantage of 12” singles as well, since they sounded so good, and hi-fi stereo radio could really show that off.
4:03 Clever idea: why couldn’t they have run the record slower? Instead of 45rpm, how about, I don’t know, just picking a figure off the top of my head here, 33⅓rpm?
These videos are incredible. You guys rock!
is it me or Paul Morley sounds like Paul McCartney or Techmoan
The first song gave just dance vibes
And tiktok and Toca Boca Should come together

I would state that I Feel Love is the end of Disco and the beginning of House / Dance / EMD. However it is iconic everyway!
Why didn't they just slow down the speed of the 7-inch record to increase the play time?
This should make a comeback, they should bring back dance music again. You cannot dance, to new music today is boring !
For a good mindblow, accidentally 'start' listening to I Feel Love, on the 3rd beat. 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2…
A foot of length for 12 minutes of song? It seems so primitive to me
Do the 12' singles run at 45 rpm or 33 rpm?
The way Dua Lipa revived disco this 2020…
I feel love – is still the best disco & edm song. By far.
