I agree with everything he is saying and I wish more artist like this would speak out more about how bad the music has gotten in several years and everything will be swept underneath the rug. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017.

No they wont. If you want to be a star, music labels will be needed regardless.

It may be less than 20 years. The average life span of a "hit" is about 2 weeks. The life span of a rap artist is about 3 weeks. With social media cranking out artists and songs daily, who really needs s label? They will all be reduced to being "catalog companies"…making whatever they can from greatest hits compilation (ie. Motown).

Good Music don't have an experation date. Trend music is trash. like trap is trash. Old school hip hop or Rap is better if it re-come out today. cause that would be more about the music talent and not image.

plain an simple, whites support white artist. Blacks steal from blacks whether it be selling bootlegs an shit like that. with the digital age we don't need bootleg CDs. The culprit now is downloading free music but it's safe to say white people will buy a white artist music. Case in point, Adele album just went DIAMOND!! That means she's selling records.

Birdman had Geniuses up under his belt, and gave them Shit to eat. While he Capitalize on this "RESPEK" Shit, he needs to Respek the fair Game. Before that bitch Karma forces him to. Or even worse, her Mother,,,,, "UNIVERSE" will deal with him.

The culprit is the internet….before online music/downloads it was a privilege to hear my favorite song on the radio. (for me personally) the only time I could hear a song that I liked was when it was played on the radio. Now we are over saturated with music and the access to it is unlimited.  Plus music is more corporate then ever.  A gimmick or antics supersede the music.

When he said "once they are through with in this era, they are done" he's not talking about 90s rappers or even up to the mid 2000's. He's talking about 90% of the music that has come out since 2010. Example: YC "Racks". That song was a Top 40 song that was played on every urban station but by the next year YC was done. You barely know that song existed and it's only 4-5 years old

To me and this is only my opinion, most of the music today sounds like garbage. Rap is worse than when I was growing up. Most of the rap now sounds like they are talking with a marble in their mouth. I personally wouldn't go through a label because I want to be able to do my own thing, and put on concerts when I want to.

Mannie fresh really spoke the truth about being done with these tracks… There are VERY VERY VERYYY FEW "classic" songs that have dropped anytime remotely recent that could be played 5 years from now & people would be feeling it…

look here man mannie is right to some point however white artist sell more than black artist based on a system that is set up only for one race of people and has been so for a long time.  If that wasn't the case why the fuck didn't dudes that started hip hop in the 80's and early 90's sell?  As long as the system is set up the way it is, only artist that are going to get marketed are ones that are part of the establishment or the folks who sell out their own people for a fucking check.
