Love it, or hate it, in less than 3 minutes EC saved the entire acoustic guitar industry. At the time all people played or aspired to play something else. Nearly all new sales of guitars were electric. The acoustic guitar world was on its knees. The influence of this man cannot be underestimated. He brought the blues out of the delta and gave to the likes of you and I. I'm not stating he did it all single handedly but he definitely knows how to tap the musical zeitgeist. A quarter of a century ago I went on holiday with him. He's probably still talking about it today – Not!
