Would love to see more content on Big L. I think his lyrics alone deserves a breakdown.
id love to see a piece on epmd see just how they changed the game
Do a episode on Kanye saving common career
Kema Hunt my real life friend…
The best was future. Tremendous respect for him before and even more acter
Why do people feel like no living rapper can be compared to Biggie and Tupac? It's almost sacrilegious. Bcos dey are dead dey are massively overrated. If Steve Jobs revered d old computers he wldnt have created Apple.
when justin pauses, taps the table and says "let's break it down" i get excited
Justin Hunte and Jon Snow, two man that don't have the answers to anything
I loved yo’ Hov videos! All the east coast hip hop music is great Breakdown material ????
MF DOOM GOAT?
"No! Theres too much dopeness out there that deserves attention. No need to distract from that."
Thats why I love these videos, and I've been watching them almost in order for 2 or 3 hours.
MF DOOM G.O.A.T???
So no big krit
The Gil Scott Heron sample on party & bullshit, that's my shit
Stay high
You can tell Justin Hunte loves what he does from just the first 2 seconds.
Telling it how it is. I love it. I love these conversations because sometimes you don't always have the answers and in Hip-Hop sometimes you just have to believe what you think and accept other people's opinion. "I don't have the answers to these questions." I love the show ever since you said this line the first time. Great show, great conversations.
All to be honest…
How did anyone not get the Takeover's bar?
"….2 of them shits was due – 1 nnnnnah (so so, not hot ) the other was illmatic (clearly a hot classic) that's a 1 hot album ( illmatic) every 10 year average."
There's no need to ask anyone, it's clear in the context surely?
#BlackThoughtTheGOAT
I cannot wait for that piece!!!
Hopsin The Breakdown. "Taps the table". I loved the part about Biggie!
Where's that 2Pac piece at?
whenever it is y'all decide to release the Black Thought GOAT piece, be sure to bring up tracks like Adrenaline, Rapid Eye Movement, Super Lyrical, & Thought @ Work. Tariq's got no weaknesses as a lyricist, at least in my opinion.
Can we get a Phonte and a Big Krit episode.
3 stacks breakdown is the best
Love the breakdowns, I agree with most of your thoughts. Andre 3000 video was the most eye opening one for me. Would love to hear your thoughts on Killer Mike. Or Zach De La Rocha as very little people do share opinions on him because he's famous for being in Rage Against The Machine. Personally I think he's an incredible lyricist.
Lol I've ALWAYS thought Jay meant "nah" since I've first heard it. It's so cool that even this many years later there's still stuff to discuss about this song.
I don't have the answer to the best breakdown…
l like all
I might be alone on this, but I think it'd be cool if you guys did a breakdown on Lil Dicky. He hasn't been around long enough or done enough to be anybody's GOAT, but he def seems to be a polarizing emcee these days (at least among my friends).
I mean, obviously, people hate on him because he's white and (they think) he's corny, BUT dude has some of the funniest/most creative stories I've heard in a minute, lyrical prowess, wordplay, versatile flow and he's not out here trynna make us believe he's someone he isn't (i.e. a gang member, trapper, etc.).
the best is prolly Andre the GOAT
do why Nas the goat
I think you mentioned before that Yeezus is under-appreciated, honestly I agree. It has a dope bangers, some really good concepts about classism, racism, etc.

Huge recording hip-hop artists are simply a brand, and just like any other brand, there are teams of people who work to insure the brand is always contemporary and relative. Now on the subject of respect, yes I do lose respect for hip-hop artists who do not write lyrics. Most of us become fans because we feel we can relate to what the artist is talking about, and to find out he never wrote that means he probably doesn't feel that way. So we never related to them in the first place.
"Will I do a piece on 'Wack emcees'? No."
FUTURE PIECE. WHY?!?!?! YOU SUCK FOR THAT GUY BEING ON A "DOPENESS" WAVELENGTH. NO MORE WACK, LETS SEE IF YOU CAN HOLD THIS UP FOR A MONTH, THEN I'LL SUBSCRIBE!!!
hey Justin! awesome that you read all those comments
1st: mad respekk that you answered intelligently to the question as to why your signoff phrase is so lame! and its a good one too!
2nd: I think the best GOAT piece was the one about Andre 3000 cause ppl somehow still sleep on him as one of the best craziest lyricists. but the Biggie piece was the more important one I think.
3rd: would you like to do a feature on Sean Price, who passed away in 2015 and why that is a cautionary tale that branding yourself as a "broke rapper" will sabotage your commercial success? also, do the goat piece on big pun already
You asked our favorite breakdown….. I appreciate them all, but my personal fave is Andre 3000 as the G.O.A.T. That's my barbershop convo all the way. Who else could be or has been in the convo and has never released a solo album? Maybe Black Thought? Maybe Pos?
MF DOOM!!
lookin forward to that MF Doom joint, wondering if Kool Keith will get some spotlight on your channel at any point
