The world has lost a woman of grace, artistic integrity and power. She was an amazing trailblazer who made it possible for black actors to move forward and launch successful careers, and I will always remember her for the great example she demonstrated throughout her life and her work on stage and screen.May you rest in power and eternal peace.
Why is it that no media or celebrity in the honoring of Cicely mentioned her birth place of origin? This is what is called ethnic discrimination and racism. For those who did not know, she was born on the twin island federation of Nevis and St.Kitts migrated to the US as a child . Every time she returns to her birth place there has always been a red carpet welcome for her. She is admired and loved by the citizens of St.Kitts and Nevis, especially Nevis where she was born. There is where you will find the origin of the Tyson family.
One thing I learned a long time ago people make up things about a person's life but when it comes to miss Tyson never had the privilege of meeting well as far as I can see there's nothing but great things to say about her

When we age, we wonder if there's anything we can do past retirement. She showed that she took Jesus instruction to heart when He said occupy till he comes. That she did.

I always loved Cicely Tyson. She was so gorgeous and beautiful in her youth. She stayed beautiful, graceful, elegant and exceptionally talented to her last day. Her movies will be watched over and over again for decades to come ! A shining star and Queen !
