Okay with Jim Jones should have said being a rapper and being an African American male and United States is more dangerous to being a soldier over in Iraq that's what he should have said cuz then the numbers add up then it would have made the clearest sense!!!!

Well if they stop rapping about guns and shooting people maybe they wouldn't be getting shot at. Soldiers be on the frontline not on IG beefing with other soldiers.

only thing I dont like here is Jim devaluing the bond between soldiers. those ain't strangers, that's not the kid from down the block neither, that's like your best friend you consider family gettin shot in the face or blown up by an IED. over and over again.

Hip hop is dangerous cause cats like jim constantly glorify street shit. Shooting people aint cool, robbing people aint cool, selling drugs aint cool, doing tons of hardcrore drugs aint cool but these rappers would have you thinking this is what life is all about. I dont see Jim say anything positive about anything hope he falls 9ff the map soon

In the military you are allegedly killing for God and country and you don't know these people they are your enemy as you are told, in the streets it could end up that it's someone you grew up with and knew!

Jim jones acting like rappers getting killed for rapping, they gettin killed doing crime or being around criminals, which is definitely dangerous…soldiers getting killed being soldiers…notice jimmys response was “all the people i grew up with r dead, no longer talking about rappers…this a dumb argument being a soldier is 1000x more dangerous than being a rapper

Thing is, Rap is the most egotistical, pompous musical genre out. thats just lyrically. If that mentality carries over into your personal appearance, then you most likely are going to be a bit too flashy with your money and your jewelry etc. In these hard economic times that makes you a target for many. Just be humble. leave the jewels at home. walk with just the cash you need. in other words dont be a target. Another thing is to leave social media alone man. if they love you and your music you dont need it. The late greats never did. their names still ring out cus their movements were thorough.

Jim sounds stupid! Most of his friends, like mine, chose that type of lifestyle, and guess what? They don't even own any of the neighborhoods that were claiming and shooting up. But hey, it's just an opinion of mine.

War is war. In most cases both rappers and soldiers come from humble beginnings. So whether a group of men make money off you fighting for oil on others' soul or get rich off your record sales when you're gun down in the street and turned into a money making martyr it amounts to the same thing.

Neither one (Jones and G.I. Bro) doing any good for their race. Both shooting at brown skinned people, and innocents getting wounded and killed. Both shooting over a rag or flag, and both have red in them. Both brainwashed and going nowhere but to destruction for their destructive allegiances and pride. Both don’t fear God. I respect the troop's but IRL the death toll In Detroit and Chicago has surpassed all 3 wars since 2006 so it's literally been safer to be there than in the hood which is where rappers half to stay to connect to a fanbase

At the end of the day I see two different perspectives, but also a similarity in the that they both made choices. Choices to be on the streets, and choices to be in the military. Each of which come with their own unique set of outcomes.
