It's absolutely a commentary about how young women, especially celebrity women are commodified, and treated as objects, with little to no regard for their mental health, and then punished for not being pleasant and happy all the time. I'm honestly surprised she didn't have more of a breakdown under the circumstances.
Very sad for her & her kids to be treated so poorly.
