This shit was trash why did rhymefest even do this shit
The brit would sound better if the music was more brit orientated. The more traditional US sounding backing music really went well with the rapping from the US guy, so with this to me the US's side sounded a lot better and was more pleasing to the ears.
The brit's words could have been amazing as so could the US guys been etc I really don't want to comment on the words used in rap battles, to me one only really earns one-upmanship vs his opponent when the verse is timed well and the correct inflections on the words are used vs the actual content of the words.
Both still put on a great show, tho from a sound perspective the brit did not adapt the way he could have used his voice to go with the music – thus creating a better sound all round, but he did not in my opinion.
I really don't know anything about rap, I grew up on trance music so that should explain my odd perspective lol.

Not really. Hip Hop originated in the States, and spread to other countries. Afrika Bambaata, DJ Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Caz, Melle Mel, and others would all agree with me here. The only reason this crowd cheered Roky was because he was playin for the home crowd, I could barely understand a word he said. Rhymefest was waay better-he actually flowed to the beat.
