If you are ever in Johnston county North Carolina all the white people that are 35 and under talk like Black people do and even listen to rap music but they also claim to hate Black people. I agree it could be harmful to people of color but I don't think everyone See's it that way. The things I do see wrong is The american flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.
As a white man I can tell you I'm not racist and that flag always meant southern pride to me. But as a white man I cannot nor do I have the right to tell a black person how to feel about that flag

This gentleman did an excellent job of articulating the reality behind that symbol. I never really looked at it like that. I've never had or wanted to own a rebel flag but I always dismissed the idea or opinion of it being racist as being incorrect or just self-righteous mewling. However, I now understand I was being ignorant. Worse, I was being willfully ignorant and not educating myself on the reality of it even though the information is readily available. I came to this video fully prepared to roast this gentleman on his ignorance and point of view. I came away from this video with a new realization. I'm not racist but I have been an advocate for racist rhetoric and for that I ashamed. Thank you sir for opening my eyes.
