The most recent version of this movie, made by Jim Carry ,, was great,,,, but after have seen the original version,,, i like the old one better,,,, fun movie,, I really liked it,,,,!!! thanks youtube for this movie,,,!!!!
mcmahon's not a bad actor. I'm surprised.
George Segal is hilarious in this. I love him on Just Shoot Me and love him in this.
Sorry, I didn't remember than Jane Fonda was in this film. I will not watch anything that she is in. I like George Segal. Too bad.
1:13:50 look at that fridge. Cabinet finishing, ice cube and ice water dispenser. Boy, in 1979 I was 22 and I do not remember any such fancy things being available
the crooked preacher was George Hamilton? No it was Dick Gautier
There is a lesson in this movie. When she asks her well off father for money and he says no, says they lived beyond their means for years, had nothing put away for a rainy day. That is so true for most Americans. They literally live paycheck to paycheck. They do not invest or save much. They do not invest for passive income. They have car loans, have cars that cost more than they should ever do. I have been an engineering contractor for 20 years now and am able to retire. As a contractor I always planned for times of unemployment or between contract jobs. And when out of work, I still paid my bills, paid my blue cross medical, sent money home to parents who were financial idiots, etc. I have always owned my cars. Now at 63, I have no debt, no loans, credit card balance is 0, I bought my 2008 Kia Sorento two years ago. I bought it by swiping my credit card, 8500 out the door, title transfer, fees, etc. Drove it off the lot. Paid off the credit card at the end of the week, and got the points/cash back. That is how you do things in this modern age. Now, I am a single digit millionaire, I have over 60k a year in passive interest and dividends, 1/2 is tax free. I will start social security in a year or two and that will be another 30k a year. So I will be retired, on medicare which is affordable and will have almost 100k in income a year. Do start planning now
great movie. Great cameo by publisher's clearinghouse, Ed McMahon.3:48
When the 2005 remake of Fun with Dick and Jane came out with Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni, I immediately remembered this movie, and wanted to watch it again. So glad to see it's still as fun as I remembered it to be.
Great movie!! I couldn’t watch the other remake it ruins the original one!!!
there was an error licensing this video…. after 45 minutes of watching it? How can there now be an 'error'?
1977 movie Dick and Jane
Every time someone says Dick I giggle.
Bad spending habbit die hard, this time it resulted in having expensive food on display when a bowl of beans would have been much better. In nearly every way. I know it's only a movie but I will guarantee you it's exactly the kind of judgment Jane Fonda displayed throughout her life.
A much bigger concern was the number of lives lost because Jane Fonda conspired with the communist government of North Vietnam and betrayed a group of pows. One of the worst acts of treason this country has ever experienced. I was completely opposed to America's involvement in Vietnam but Jane Fonda was a traitor .
Tower Records one of many sources of noise pollution equipment .
Second time seeing this, been so long, can't remember the first time. Plain forgot Ed McMahon was in it.
Much better than the remake
My favorite scene – when they rob the phony preacher, and make off with "The Lord's Money"! 🙂 🙂 🙂
