I like the simple approach, but with a little more effort you can make something way better that will last. I used a spire clip for a good fixing and even hacked an old table lamp to make a really nice stand. You can see what I mean in my video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6S9B8SU944&t=99s
Great Idea but… The testing for the DIY coat hanger with sock isn't really fair. Like when you said all that P sounds without it, you were close to the mic. Then with the DIY pop filter, you backed up. Anyways Good Job.
This sounds like good advice! The only thing that puts me off trying is that you clearly are leaning into the mic when doing the 'without' test, but sitting straight up when doing the 'with' test. Seems like you were trying to make the thing appear to work better than it does. Is that a far point?
OMG 20,000 people have watched this? That is amazing! I made this video as a helpful tip that I learned many years ago. Well, looks like it's been worth while. Have a good one everyone.
