George let his body go where the music took him he did not need other people to teach him to dance he did it if people think its cheesy now who cares LOL it was awesome then and it awesome now WHAM! Faith and Beyond the man had moves
And they even managed to get Steven Spielberg to play on keyboards too. You would have thought that he would have been far too busy with directing films. But no. He found the time to come over to London to film TOTP and play keyboards. What a man. What a band.
The group that caused all the issues about lip syncing was Milli Vanilli. Fans were so outrage that they were not only lip syncing, it wasn' even them singing. Rightly so. However, when George and Andrew performed, girls were screaming so loud it just as well been prerecorded. Nothing took away from seeing them in person regardless who you liked. Not dropping names "George". He announced he was touring in 2013-2014 again. Don't miss it, you won't be sorry. Absolutely amazing live.
George Michael is just appallingly, phenomenally talented. My dad played his stuff alot when I was a kid, and still does – on a road trip a few months ago, George Michael there AND back lol.
why in the hell did they have to cancel top of the pops? ok, a lot of today's mainstream music is crap. yet, there's always something that will stand out that will get everyone watching like the time the smiths first came on. let's kick whoever decided to cancel one of the greatest shows ever.
@Dewey1972c Andrew Ridgeley? He did something with his brother who was the hired percussionist for Bananarama after Wham split. Now he lives down south (If wikipedia is to be believed) π
@BreakB97598 Yes. Most definately. 99.9% of acts on Top Of The Pops were limp syncing. It was very rare to get a live vocals during the 80s and early 90s. It was only until a statute law in the late 90s that prevented lip syncing that we got all performers singing live. Hence the majority of bands chose not to perform on the show at all (live performances do not have the advantage of voice enhancements from a studio recording).
5 years later GM was king of the world love you forever rip my idol

that being said if he needs a massage i volunteer to go back in time and give him one LOL

I lived through the 80's. I laughed at some of the posts. Two people commented about then girlfriend (1988) and her name was Kathy Jueng.
the 'doo, dooo, doooos' are the catchiest parts, the chorus is catchy too though

A classic song of the 80Β΄s
Such a bright and outgoing personality…he's the perfect frontman.–It also doesn't hurt that he is dropdead GEORGEous!!!
A huge loss for women ! but he's still adorable !
@HFraeGala What a shame he's gay
Taking PCP before watching this video takes the edge off all the "gayness."
George Michael is just appallingly, phenomenally talented. My dad played his stuff alot when I was a kid, and still does – on a road trip a few months ago, George Michael there AND back lol.
@Isthisthelongestname Sorry for those folks
Everyone was Happy in the 80's!
Wham performed it on Top of The Pops, in September 1984.
super gay !
One of the greatest songs of the 80's. Still love it now.
Wonderful song, so ironic too. He'll come out fine through this time.
The drummer knows the song well, he did every break and hihat open, must of been the studio drummer, just wanted to point that out.
2:18 "part time love just brings me DOWN" and he points at his crotch
It's a sissy Sonny Crockett without the stubble!

I get funny looks from my coworkers when I'm listening to this song on my iPod/headphones. Can't sit completely still. π

it #3 in the US. Anybody know what became of the US band called Wham, which caused George & Andrew to be called Wham!UK here in the states?
