One of the most obvious inspiration is Barry Manilow >>Could It Be Magic<< inspired by Chopin's Prelude. It is very creative an artistic variation and the source is clearly exposed at the begining and at the end. Masterpiece, defnetly worth listening vintage pop, much better then today's pop pieces.

You play a wretched version of All By Myself rather than Eric Carmen's who wrote it, and then you neglect Carmen's other hit, Never Gonna Fall in Love Again – which is Rachmaninov's second symphony third movement. But there are many, many more.
Y'all should check out "The Good Part" by AJR-they literally sample Bach's "Air" but it's kinda clever how they do it.
