This is literally my college homework right now.
That was a video where Snoop Dogg was imitating mumble rappers, not rappers who specifically use the triplet flow in their songs
I thought snoop was against mumble rap, not triplets
one more time .
Old heads don't understand the true lyricsm of "versace versace versace" it's a masterpiece in storytelling
lets not forget that tommy wright the 3rd mentioned in this video invented trap beats in the 90s and he produced his beats and was soooo freaking underrated and wayyyyyyyy ahead of his time back then. But atlanta rappers and producers bit a chunk off of memphis producers and rappers like three 6ix mafia also mentioned in this video and now people think atlanta rappers and producers made trap when it was really memphis folks and alot of rappers and producers from atlanta are influenced by memphis rap and beats
Whoa whoa whoa. Migos? Didn’t jaz-O invent the triplet flow?
I went to toronto i went to atlanta
i used to like pepsi But now i like fanta?
Real ones will know this one
Was never a fan of mainstream music anyway…..
Y’all buggin thinking Lord Infamous didn’t create the triplet flow
No, Snoop was right… Everyone sounds the same for entire albums. That's the problem.
“Slow beat”
Snoop Dogg's right.
Snoop is right. They all sound the same.
Moonlight Sonata, that's in compound time. It ain't triplets!
gangsta forever pretty much sounds like modern day rap
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing.
Hip hop heads who appreciate lyrics in 2020: 'Look how they massacred my boy'
thw triplet is not the problem. the mindless repetition is the problem.
Why is this sooooooo goooood! The producer and the editor snapped on this.
Also this is wrong. the mane flow comes from jazz musicians. ella fitzgerald use to do it all the time
This flow came out a long time ago. Even used in Dancehall from the 70’s up to now
Sielewi kitu but I love it
oh snoop dogg I love you
they do all sound the saaaaaaame
Old school triplets sound almost demonic or possessed. It feels like I’m listening to Ghostmane or Bones.
I guarantee you 80% of these rappers have no idea what a triplet is, they're just copying each other
So this was the reason behind Eminem releasing Kamikaze.
????
i dont think snoop dogg was agaisnt that flow
I love snoop so much, he’s spot on with that impression ??
i feel like all the other examples of triplets, except migos, took skill and creativity. using triplets to (poorly) rap about ice and money just doesnt seem skilful or creative and doesnt sound good to me. its like a child learning to rhyme for the first time "i got ice…. erm what rhymes with ice…… dice! okay…. i got ice, roll the dice…. now what rhymes with dice" – Migos. it would anger me but i find it more comical that frustrating
Definitely Dismasters
The comments are just filled with either people who think they are "music critics" hating on contemporary music or people who think they are smarter than vox but still watch it anyway ???
The research is overwhelming on every vox video. Not to mention presentation and graphics.
Just seeing this makes you realize rappers actually are geniuses in construction of lyrics that sound like they belong together..
