I had a blast building this set! I can’t decide if this is my favorite set of all time but it’s definitely in my top five.
I want to thank you for being the only person to explain how to use the digital Mario with the Nes. I placed my Mario om top of the barcode and was not aware aware you had to move him ahead afterwards. It wasn't making any of thr sounds and I scoured the intetner as there is no instructions anywhere to tell you that you need to so that. Every video just shows Mario working but doesn't explain how. If I could like the video more than once I would. I thought there was something wrong with my Mario lol.

About the koopa shell being red, you cant really make the argument that they don’t have them in 1-1 and they have them in the lego nes set, well if you look at the level you can see very clearly this isn’t 1-1. is it based off of 1-1? probably. Is it 1-1? No.
Too expensive for what you get. For $230.00 (retail), should be a functional Nintendo Entertainment System with working cartridge.
You should take more care to align the 1×1 tiles. Seeing those all crooked is a shame.

So the two square hinged housing pieces on the left and right of the lego NES are exactly that way on the actual NES too? And they function as connectors for the NES expansion? Looks like hinged piece on the left of your Lego NES is offset by a brick or two. The hinged pieces should be symmetrical on each side.
