Unpopular opinion, but as much as I love some of these top groups, I can't help but feel 90% of kpop fandoms are die hards for their favorite groups that they think EVERY one of their songs are like a masterpiece. I believe you can still like a group and that group can have songs that aren't that good. Two songs I'm thinking about is Itzy – Not Shy and Blackpink – How you like that
Both of these songs sounds terrible to me (hate my comment if you want), the chorus is horrendous in both these songs. Saying not shy doesn't sound musically pleasing and the way they keep saying itzy in the background cringes me. Likewise for How you like that, the way they sing the chorus sounds whiney to me. I get that you may possibly like it because of the meaning behind the lyrics, but soundwise, I really can't vibe with it. Yet despite me saying that, I love all their other works (most if not all). I just think it takes a real fan to be able to admit and criticize the work of your favorite idols/groups and STILL be a fan even when their work is at its worst or not on par with their other stuff. I don't mean to point these two groups out, they just came up to me as they were in the top 10. I can say this about a lot of groups. It also makes me feel like a good portion of kpop reaction youtubers are faking it to please their kpop fan viewers.
