Elvis once covered "Because you asked me to" around this time. When I hear his version and Waylon's ( esp during this era) I'm astounded at just how similar their voices were. Elvis obviously had more "oomph" ( sorry, what do I call it? 🙂 ) but Waylon sure could belt it when so inclined.
Great 3 Artist on this episode. Met Waylon & Jessi at private party of about 30 in early 70,s. Very stunning beauty in her western dress and smile. Better than TV shows.

Wow what a loaded video!! I had tickets to see Buddy Holly, the Crickets including Waylon about a week after the plane crashed. I followed Waymore after that until this very day. They don't get much prettier than Jessi and TP is awesome all by himself, just ask Linda D! Great vid, thanks for sharing.

i own this 21 dvd set and what great artist are on them and great ole country songs out of 10-10 thats for sure
I met Tompal & The Glazer brothers back in 1961 in M ontana & got set in on pedal steel with them , what a joy. will never forget it !!
