      This is the decade I grew up in. I still have many of these on wax (12 inch vinyl) and ny 2 technic 1200s still work but digital is so much easier

      Rap was born out of Disco Music in the late 70s, now its the most dominant music on the radio. Rock music has largely vanished in mainstream pop music.

      In the 89s, I was in Music class in Elementary school and one of my classmates said he had a song to sing to the class. The teacher got excited and gave him permission. He started rapping and talking about Superman was a fairy and flying through the air in pantyhose and busting out with super sperm. Teacher eyes and got so big..she jumped up and took him out of the class so fast and I never saw him again after that. I didn’t understand why he was removed from the class until I became a teenager lol but that was my introduction to Rap and The Sugar Hill Gang (Rappers Delight)??
